Meet The Young Entrepreneur Behind Maritime Prime Painting
Hi, I’m David Young, the proud owner of Maritime Prime Painting. My journey started right here in Moncton, where I grew up with my older brother, Willy. From a young age, I was drawn to hands-on work and the sense of pride that comes from transforming spaces. As a teenager, I picked up painting jobs to earn extra money, not realizing that those early experiences would eventually shape my career.
After graduating high school, I moved to Halifax to study business at university. Throughout my studies, I stayed close to the trades, working for a painting franchise where I learned the ins and outs of the industry-how to manage projects, lead a team, and most importantly, deliver quality work with integrity. Over the years, that experience gave me the vision to build something of my own: a company that blends professionalism, community, and craftsmanship at the highest level.
My brother Willy has always been a big part of that vision. He grew up working in trades and labor, bringing a strong work ethic and leadership to every project. Beyond painting, Willy has deep roots in the community-he played football at Bernice MacNaughton High School and now gives back as a coach, mentoring young athletes through the GMFA and local high school programs. His dedication to the community perfectly reflects the values we’ve built this company on.
Together with our close friends Chandler and Joshua, who have been with us since our early franchise days, we’ve created a tight-knit team that feels like family. Our goal isn’t just to paint homes-it’s to build trust, support Maritime growth, and raise the standard of what homeowners can expect from a painting company.
